Top Ten Tuesday: The Ten Most Recent Additions to My TBR List

Click the image above for the full list of TTT topics, weekly topics hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

Alright, now that I’m attempting to get back into this, let’s see how how many weeks in a row I can actually come up with a TTT post. Someone hold me to it!

For this list I chose to interpret it as the ten most recent additions to my Goodreads TBR. I try to keep that list pretty clean and not just add every single book that sounds good (or even that I own) because it bothers me when my to-read list is higher than my read list on Goodreads. (Even though that’s 100% accurate!)

1. The Night Olivia Fell by Christina McDonald

Not only is this a Book Sparks #WRC2019 pick, but it’s also the February pick for the IG book club that I co-host, Black Heart Reads. I’m super excited to read this book and I was surprised I hadn’t added it to my goodreads TBR sooner.

Black And White Skull

2. Bones by Andrew Cull

I won a signed copy of Bones from reviewing my December books from Night Worms on Instagram. The cover looks even better in person and I’ve heard nothing but great things about it.

3. Buried by Ellison Cooper

I just stumbled across the title and cover to this sequel the other day. I loved Cooper’s debut and I’m eager to pick up where we left off. You can read my review of the first book, Caged, here.

4. Before She Knew Him by Peter Swanson

I’m embarrassed to say I still haven’t read any of Swanson’s books. That’ll change sometime soon I swear!

5. Blood Echo by Christopher Rice

I’m reading Bone Music, the first book in the Burning Girl series, right now and I’m really enjoying it. So naturally, I had to add the sequel to my TBR, which is coming out next month.

6. Call Me Evie by J.P. Pomare

I just received an advance copy of this book from the publisher and I’m happy to have my hands on it. Such a great cover!

7. Recursion by Blake Crouch

I don’t read a whole lot of sci-fi, but I loved Dark Matter so I can’t wait to see what Crouch has come up with next!

8. Duma Key by Stephen King

Duma Key will be my next King read. I’ve been slowly making my way through his works with the help of IG buddy reads. This is the February read hosted by Janel @keeperofpages.

9. Inheritance by Dani Shapiro

I saw Stacey @prose_and_palate raving about this book in her IG story and immediately added it to my TBR. I love a good memoir!

10. Painless by Marty Thornley

Candice @cadicesawchuk posted about this book and I knew I had to read it! It sounds right up my alley. You can read her review here.

  1. I’m so excited to read The Night Olivia Fell next month, and Duma Key obviously!!

Girl, what’dya mean you haven’t read any Swanson, you need to read The Kind Worth Killing asap, it’s such a fast-paced, fun and thrilling read. Also heads up, Before She Knew Him is going to be in the next cgbc vote!

I’ve got my eye on that new Blake Crouch too! Great list, Lindsey!!

  2. I still haven’t read Swanson either! I wanted to last year, but then failed epically. I’m thinking of tackling them with audiobooks.

I can’t wait for Duma Key and the new Blake Crouch! I really wanted to read The Night Olivia Fell with you guys next month, but I think I’ve already over-committed. 🙈
